About This Project
The Correspondence Tapes is an ongoing experiment in long-distance friendship and mixed-media art. At its heart, it's a simple dialogue between two old friends, "D" and "Knee-Hi".
Instead of traditional letters or emails, the conversation takes place across three mediums:
- Audio Letters: Podcast episodes that serve as the main conversational thread.
- Digital Artifacts: Photographs, videos, or other digital media shared here.
- Physical Objects: Tangible items sent via snail mail that connect to the conversation.
By making this exchange public, it transforms from a private chat into a living art project—one that explores memory, connection, and how we find new ways to talk to each other.
